Safety Climate refers to employee perceptions about safety at a point in time. At THIS point in time, there is nothing more important than preventing and hopefully eliminating the spread of this disease.<\/p>\n
The time is now for proactive measures that will PREVENT illness, REDUCE costs associated with it, IMPROVE productivity and performance, OPTIMIZE safety and health, and RAISE worker participation in the awareness efforts. This will require engagement from the bottom up, and it will need to start with training, information and communication from the top down.<\/p>\n
Safety Culture should be centered around identifying ways to prevent work injury and illness from occurring. This new threat should be treated the same way, with mandated Safety and Compliance training.
